Exercises for varicose veins

The problem of varicose veins is one of the most common diseases of blood circulation, but for this are prevention and treatment exercises.

It is especially common in women, but can also occur in men. In general, unsightly varicose veins are caused by dilations of some veins, dilatations that make it impossible for proper blood circulation.

If these varicose veins are not treated properly, this condition can become a serious health problem. In the next article we will present you some exercises to prevent the appearance of varicose veins,  but also to get rid of them.

These exercises are a significant help both to prevent the appearance of these varicose veins and to get rid of them,  if they have already appeared (or you have varicose veins). These exercises can take the place of a person who takes care of you and finds the solution to your problem. They are very simple and many of them can be tried at home.

Walking

The most common factor that causes varicose veins is sedentary lifestyle. Prolonged stool or lack of movement can cause circulatory problems, and over time, provides a favorable situation for the formation of varicose veins. So, we recommend one of the most useful and simple activities to keep your legs active.

Walking against varicose veins

Walking, of course, is a great idea. Walking every day for 30 minutes helps a lot for the blood to circulate properly and decreases the possibility of having varicose veins. It is also an extraordinary exercise to keep fit and to control and lose weight. That is why walks in the park or on the way to shopping are recommended.

Stretching prevents the appearance of varicose veins

Imitation of walking

Another handy and easy way to move is stretching. To do this exercise you only need a chair.

Sit in the chair, support your heels firmly on the floor and lift your toes, then lower them and raise them again. What this exercise does is  mimic the movement of the foot while walking. Repeat this movement 20 times on each leg.

Imitation of cycling

Cycling or imitating this movement is a great option. It is obvious that  this exercise can be done either on a room bike or normal, or sitting on your back with your feet up. In the first example you have the opportunity to take a walk or do some more complex sessions.

Try spinning,   a very powerful cardio exercise that is done with the help of a stationary bike. If you want to practice this exercise at home, you have to sit on your back and raise your legs to 45º. Now imitate the pedaling movement.

Cycling combats the appearance of varicose veins

Circular movements for varicose veins

Circular movements are a huge help in combating those varicose veins. To make these movements you have to sit on your back and lift one of the legs at an angle of about 45º. From this position you begin to make circular movements clockwise. After 20-25 repetitions, change legs and practice the same movement.
